How We Got Here

We met on Hinge in April 2022. Josh knew pretty quickly that he had found something special. Tess took a little more convincing.

Early on, we connected over our ambition, what we wanted for the future, our outlook on life, and a very similar sense of humor. Josh consistently showed up, planned great dates, opened every door, and made a pretty strong case for himself. It didn’t take too long for Tess to realize she felt the same way. The fact that Josh came with Moose certainly didn’t hurt.

About a year later, we moved into our first place together and started building a life of our own. By the time we get married, we’ll have been together for five years. Those years have brought new jobs, lots of travel, meeting each other’s oldest friends, making new ones together, and building a family and a home that feel like ours.

More than anything, we laugh a lot. Usually at the smallest, dumbest things. We try not to take ourselves too seriously, and we want our wedding to feel the same way.

After five years together, getting married feels less like the start of something new and more like celebrating everything we’ve already built and everything still ahead. We’re excited to do that with all of our favorite people in one place, with plenty of laughter, fun, and a really good party.
